Are you a psychic or a tarot reader?
Hmm, this is a good question. I mean if I am being one hundred percent honest I would say neither. I would instead call myself an intuitive life coach. But the choices were psychic or tarot reader... In that case I am going to go with tarot reader.
I interpret the cards that are in front of me, based on the knowledge I have gained over the last 20 years. In addition to my knowledge of the tarot, I also have a few years of art history in there, which helps refine the message from all those tiny details on a card. In that respect what I do could be done by anyone - even you.
But I do have some psychic ability as well. However it comes and goes, and is not reliable enough for me to be comfortable calling myself psychic. Think of it like one of those old TVs with the bunny ears - sometimes a little wiggle makes the picture come in clearer and other times it makes it disappear all together.
I work really hard on refining both skills to give my clients the best possible experience. I continue taking classes and workshops with some of the leading readers in the business. I also recently started attending workshops to allow me to utilize that psychic piece more - and it has helped I think. I have had some very successful readings in the past couple weeks where I allowed myself to really trust my intuition.
That being said, I think it is really important to note that when you are looking for a reader that not every tarot reader is psychic and not every psychic uses tarot cards.
