Decorating Notes:

Designer Ann Getty is not afraid of color. In this study's foyer, a vintage table is topped by two bright Olympian blue lamps completed with shades the rich color of French Roast. Ann Getty used chartreuse green throughout this San Francisco home, but here the green only resides in the fern plants and the artwork.

Displaying the sunflower artwork two over two on top of dark walls give the art an appearance of a window looking out onto a garden. The walls are upholstered in cotton by Etro and the rug is by AM collections.

Pantone is the industry's leader in analyzing color trends. Four of their picks for fall 2012 include bright chartreuse, Olympian blue, honey gold and French roast. Bright chartreuse is a vivid yellow-green, and reminiscent of bright green foliage which provides a perfect accent to every color in the palette. Rich and robust, "French roast" is a tasteful, sophisticated hue that is a great alternative to black and charcoal. Olympian blue is a brighter version of navy or a patriotic blue. Honey Gold is a mellow, burnished yellow, suggests the soft-muted tones of sunlight during the fall season.
