Fun And Games: King for A Day

Let's have some fun!

I have absolutely fallen in love with Lynda Cowles funny, quirky, off the wall book about how to connect with your deck. The Tarot Playbook has some activities that will have you giggling, have you wondering but most of all will have you connecting to your deck in a way that you never have. Over the next month or so we are going to spotlight some of our favorite activities from the book for you to try at home. If you have fun we encourage you to purchase the book HERE.

P. 114 - King For A Day
Making decisions is hard. First you have to weigh up the pros and cons, then you have to consider the internal and external factors, then you have to think about the consequences. And that is just to work out what coffee you want. Wouldn't it be easier if someone else made the decisions for you?

1. Place your cards next to your bed before you go to sleep and do this activity as soon as you wake up in the morning.

2. Shuffle the court cards, then rap them on the table three times to summon your best advisor.

3. Turn over the top card and place it in front of you. Send the rest away to breathe a sigh of relief.

4. The card you have chosen has actually been chosen for you to be your advisor for the day. So you can stop worrying about if you made the right choice. Thus begins your foray into the wonderful world of zero culpability.

5. Throughout the day, any time you are asked to make a decision, you must defer to your advisor. Whatever choice arises, whatever question hovers over your head, you must summon your advisor, explain the dilemma and ask them what you should do. Then you must listen and do as they say.

6. If at any time you feel that your advisor does not have your best interests at heart fire them. It may be that they are attempting to undermine your authority in order to stage a coup.
