Scarsdale Summer in the Art Studio

Scarsdale Summer

Scarsdale Village Street Scene in Watercolor by Miriam Schulman

Yesterday, I wrote about my memories of Atlanta summers. Now, I live in Scarsdale New York. We also have a community pool, but when I go I hide my freckle prone skin in the shade and order salads from the snack bar. My kids love the pool, especially the feeling of jumping off the high dive again and again into the frigid waters. When they were younger I dangled my feet in the pool as they splashed with their friends, and I still remember resting my swollen pregnant belly in the baby pool while my toddler played.

Decorating Idea with Landscape Art
Summer is a great time for me to get a lot of art done since I usually start hitting my stride around 3 o'clock and don't have to worry about breaking my momentum to spend time with my children returning from school. My nights are free of homework help and nagging so I can either relax or finish paintings in my studio. I'm looking forward to another productive summer and have a large stack of canvases awaiting my creativity.

This original watercolor painting pictures the charming suburban town of Scarsdale in Westchester County, New York. The modern landscape art includes a street scene with early morning shoppers with seasonal American flags decorating the streets. This original art is signed by the artist. This New York landscape is one in a series of watercolor paintings of street scenes.
