Weekly Tarot Draw 6/13/17

When you read this I will most likely be on a plane, flying over some of your heads! We are on our way to Vermont for a bit to visit family and pick up my second oldest son. It's been about 5 years since we were last there, so family is so excited to see/meet our youngest Savannah. What are you doing this week?

This is how these readings work. Instead of being able to ask a question and get a targeted response think of these more as a general reading for the week ahead, like when you flip the newspaper to the back page to read your horoscope.

You are asked to pick a card from the 3 or 4 that are shown face down (each is numbered), commenting on the one you are drawn to. Then click READ MORE to reveal what the card has to tell you.  Each card also has a question for you to reflect on in the week ahead.  Ready?
Chariot Card
Killer Whale (Orca)

Card #1 ~

Here we see an orca following his pod.  If you have ever seen orcas in the wild then you know that they work together amazingly well. They know exactly which direction and how much power they need.

The Chariot card is the ultimate card of movement. It indicates that you are headed somewhere - and in a hurry! Make sure you keep your hands on the wheel so you don't get off track.

* How does the direction you are headed in make you feel? Are you in control?

Card #2 ~

Here we see a young elk. He is too old to be babied and too young to mate. He is stuck in a holding pattern - much like you are.  The 7 of Pentacles is a card of waiting.

The good news? There is no way but forward. Like this young elk, prepare yourself for when things change so that you can be ready to make your move.  You may be restless and chomping at the bit, but patience is needed (at least for your own sanity!)

* How can you, like the young elk, fake it until you make it?

Empress Card
Scottish Highland Cow

Card #3 ~

For centuries the cow has been a symbol of divine feminine energy. Her milk can nourish not only her own young, but also those of other species - including us.

This indicates that it is a time for creation and the birth of something new.  This could be a new job, hobby or even relationship. For some of you it may even indicate a pregnancy. Let things take the natural course and don't try to push them into being.

* What are you creating right now that you can show the world at a later date?

Card #4 ~

The 8 of Swords is depicted here with a mole.  Typically this card shows someone (usually a woman) trapped within a circle of swords. While it is clear to an outsider that there is a way out between a gap in the swords, to the one inside it isn't as obvious.

There is something in front of you that you either aren't seeing, or that you are refusing to acknowledge. You need to be willing to trust in yourself to find the way forward.

* How is your head getting in the way of your heart right now?
